Frequently Asked Questions
1. DOES MY BUSINESS MEET THE ECO-STANDARDS REQUIRED BY THE ST. PETE INDIE MARKET?
The St. Pete Indie Market is an Ocean Friendly Business and enforces a ban on single-use plastic for all vendors. Please replace all single-plastic (packaging, bags, to-go containers, cutlery, cups, wax paper or wax lined cups, straws, styrofoam) with compostable or paper products. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in a ban from future events. A comprehensive list of approved eco friendly products can be found here. Feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are unsure about the sustainability of your products.

On our homepage you can click on the "become a vendor" link. Here you will have the option for applying to both our St. Pete (Greenbench Brewing or State Theatre Locations) as well as, our Summer Nights Exchange Series, which runs all-year-round!
3. WHERE/WHEN DOES THE MARKET TAKE PLACE?
Our street markets take place on the first Saturday of the month, at Green Bench Brewing Company during the month's of June-September. Our State Theatre location is also held on the first Saturday of the month during the months of October-May. In addition, host pop-up markets at various locations in the area and have a different schedule for the summer months. These other dates and locations will be announced through social media outlets and on our website.
4. HOW MANY SPOTS ARE THERE?
We are able to accommodate between 40-75 vendors in our full size Street Markets. Our pop-up markets usually consist of an average of 25 vendors.
5. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Average rates* are: Tent (10x10) spaces $50-70, and table (8ft) spaces $30-50. Mobile Shops and Food Trucks inquire on price. Vendors may share booths if indicated on application or by emailing email@example.com.

6. WHAT KIND OF VENDORS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
We’re looking for original local artists of all mediums, diy crafters, upcyclers, indie makers, designers, vintage and antique sellers, architectural salvage, musicians, holistics, horticulturists, artisanal good creators, non profit groups… basically, anything funky! Keep in mind that we strive to keep a balance in the type of vendors we have so product originality improves your chance to get accepted.
7. HOW DO I APPLY?
Please head over to our 'Become a Vendor' page where you will find the registration form to apply for the market. We will add you to our list and send you a confirmation email with payment link through SquareSpace Commerce if accepted.
8. IF I FILL OUT AN APPLICATION AM I GUARANTEED A SPACE?
No, unfortunately. We have many vendors apply to our market each month and are only able to take a percentage of them, as we have limited space at most of our locations. We also try to cap at 20% of each type of vendor so that the market provides an eclectic experience for our patrons and reflects the rich diversity of St. Petersburg.
9. WHEN DO I GET NOTIFIED?
You must turn in your application before the 15th of each previous month to the event. We will notify you within a week of that deadline with an acceptance email where you will be required to confirm your space with a payment by the deadline given. If you are not accepted, you will receive an email shortly after the 15th and will automatically be placed on a waiting list. You may be notified after that, with an opportunity to vend.
10. HOW ARE SPACES ASSIGNED?
Space assignments are at the sole discretion of St. Pete Indie Market. Given the size and logistics of the market, specific space or adjacency requests can be considered but not always fulfilled. A map with a layout and loading instructions will be sent out the week before the event, if not before that.
11. WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
WE OPERATE RAIN OR SHINE! As a vendor, you are responsible for bringing appropriate weights and tie-downs for your tents.
12. WHAT ABOUT SEVERE WEATHER?
If the Market is cancelled in its entirety due to severe or dangerous weather, a refund may be given (but is not guaranteed) for a future market date. Severe weather includes dangerously heavy wind/torrential rain, lightning, or any other weather condition that would jeopardize safety for you or our customers. Please do plan to be outside with us in all kinds of weather as cancellations are very unlikely.
